Many of the new Honda vehicles available to Bartlett drivers come with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, two systems designed to integrate your smart devices into your car. But sometimes there can be issues with Apple CarPlay® setup or Android Auto™ setup, so Wolfchase Honda covers the basics of these features below.

How to Connect Apple CarPlay®

Apple CarPlay® not connecting? First of all, make sure you have an iPhone 5 or newer, then follow these steps in order to connect Apple CarPlay®:

  1. Apple CarPlay® Setup for USB Port: In your Honda vehicle, there should be a USB port with the CarPlay® logo nearby.
  2. Apple CarPlay® Setup for Bluetooth®: Many Honda vehicles support Bluetooth®. To check this out, click on Settings > General > CarPlay > Available Cars and select yours.
  3. Start Your Engines: If Apple CarPlay® is not connecting, make sure your car is started and running.
  4. Talk to Siri: Now you should be able to use voice commands in your car! Your steering wheel has a Voice Control button, but you can also access this through the CarPlay® button on your touchscreen.

How to Connect Android Auto™

If you’re one of many Memphis drivers with an Android device, you’ll need to make sure you’re running Android 5.0 or Lollipop before you figure out how to connect Android Auto™. Then follow these steps:

  1. Locate Android Auto™ in Your Settings: Find the Android Auto™ tab to begin Android Auto™ setup.
  2. Download Android Auto™: You’ll be able to find this on Google Play or be prompted to download it once you plug your phone into the USB port.
  3. Review Safety Info and Turn on Notifications: Before you begin using this feature, you’ll need to complete Android Auto™ setup by agreeing to the safety terms and turning on notifications.
  4. Select Android Auto™: Now find this function in your car settings, and you’ll be set up!
